A Review of Agasunset

This week I wanted to show off a beautiful tatted necklace I received from Agasunset.

Isn't it lovely? Take a look for yourself.

The tatted pendant is strung on a ribbon, so you can tie it in a variety of lengths. For me, I chose a choker length. You know, it looks great with my outfit doesn't it?

I looked through her shop and found lots of other tatted goodies too.

For instance, there's these absolutely fabulous tatted ankle corsets.

And a simply charming tatted slave bracelet.

And my favorite, a tatted and knitted chunky modern abstraction necklace. Absolute gorgeousness!

Have a peek of her shop and add her to your favorites! Visit Agasunset on Etsy.

Interview With Illumina Jewelry and GIVEAWAY!

This giveaway is closed! Thank you to everyone who participated!

Laxa from Illumina Jewelry has generously offered to give away a pair of gorgeous pearl earrings. How fun! I had the chance to interview her so we could all get to know her a bit better. She makes beautiful earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, which you can see more of at her shop, Illumina Jewelry.

But before we do the giveaway, lets read the interview first!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tell us a bit about yourself and your family!-
I live in beautiful California with my dear hubby! We fell in love while doing our graduate studies and got married 3 years back. I love each and every moment of being with him! He is my right hand in this new venture of my life! He takes photos of my jewelries and I ask for his advice in everything!
My mom and dad have always been encouraging me to achieve the best in life. And fortunately, my in-laws too are very supportive. In fact, they are the ones who help me find the best quality semi precious gemstones to make my lovely jewelries! Family means a lot to me…
When did you start making jewelry?-
I made the first piece of jewelry 15 years back (I remember it had beautiful pearls and cubic zirconia!) and I am so proud to tell you that my mom still wears it on special occasions like weddings etc!
Your jewelry is lovely! What inspired you to start creating?-
I love wearing beautiful jewelries just like any other girl! And I love creating things. I get a feeling of accomplishment when I finish making my jewelry design. I am very passionate about it!
What are your favorite materials to work with?-
I like to use semi precious gemstones and precious metal to make my jewelries. I believe that when you are spending money for the jewelry, the value of your money should hold (and even grow) as time passes. At the same time, you can enjoy wearing beautiful jewelry pieces!
Where do you get your ideas...anything in particular that inspires you?-
I get ideas for creating my jewelry designs from anything that is exotic, lovely and classic, and of course from the beautiful nature! You can’t go wrong with the color combinations nature presents to you!
Do you attend art and craft fairs/shows?-
I try to, whenever possible. Though, I have never had my jewelry booth at any of the craft fairs yet, as I just started making jewelries for public. So far, I have been making it for myself and to give as gift.
What are your long term goals for your shop?-
I would love it if I can start selling regularly through my IlluminaJewelry Etsy shop! If I can sell more, I can afford to buy my supplies in bulk to reduce my overall jewelry making expense, which will result in reduced item prices for my customers!
What is your favorite piece you have created?-
Well, I cannot be partial towards any one piece, I love them all! 
What is your favorite color?-
Purple
What do you do when you're not creating?-
Selling on Etsy requires us sellers to do a lot of other stuffs besides creating! When I am not creating new designs, I work with my hubby to take photos of my latest designs, write item descriptions and promote my shop.
What are some places we can find you on the web?-
Main Store - http://www.illuminajewelry.etsy.com
Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Illumina-Jewelry/115867811785068
Twitter – http://twitter.com/IlluminaDesigns - Still exploring
Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/illuminajewelry/
Blog - http://illuminadesigns.blogspot.com/ - just started blogging!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!-
I have taken classical dance training for 9 years and gave a 3 hrs dance performance on stage in front of ~500 people…
500 people....that's a lot of people lol! Thank you Laxa for taking the time to answer my questions. I'm sure my readers will enjoy reading as I have! I love your jewelry, you do a wonderful job of creating artful pieces that any girl would feel lovely wearing.
Featuring Jewelry by Mick Stone Designs
Todays feature is all about a lovely shop with gorgeous jewelry designs, Mick Stone Designs!
Mick Stone Designs creates impressive One Of A Kind jewelry pieces.
About The Artist:
Mick began designing jewelry after a unique experience. She was at Starbucks all stressed out when her bracelet broke for the third time. Mick looked up a bead store in a phone book, and went there asking if she could learn how to fix her jewelry on her own.
She had so much fun learning, and her bracelet never broke again.
Ever since, she has been hooked on making jewelry!
Each piece of jewelry is a one-of-a-kind stone design that will never be replicated.
You can contact Mick for a copy of her Custom Jewelry Style Profile Form so she can get a feel for your tastes and make you a special piece of jewelry to match a special outfit.
This necklace is called Sweet Serenity, featuring 14K gold filled chain, a 17mm faceted prenite teardrop, a circle of freshwater pearls, (all gorgeously wire wrapped with 14K gold wire) small round jade beads above that, and freshwater pearls above that. Measures 17.5 inches.
This gorgeous handmade necklace will come gift wrapped all ready to keep or giveaway as a gift.
Featuring LillyPod
Today's feature is the unique shop LillyPod, where you can find beautiful jewelry designs and handbags.
This tribal style necklace caught my eye immediately when I looked at the shop. Paduk and ovanko wood was used to make these. Each bead has been sanded and oiled for a silky finish, and no dye was used, so each piece is naturally colored. Measures 30 1/2 inches. You can have a custom one made to any length you need.
Stud earrings made from yew wood! They have been finished with danish oil for a satin smooth touch, and have sterling silver posts. They measure about 1/2 an inch in diameter. You can have a custom pair made in whatever size you want too.
A beautiful handbag inspired by nature with a feminine flair. Very stylish for a chick to carry with her! Features a faux suede shoulder strap, a strong internal magnetic fastener, and satin lining.
LillyPod also has a blog lillypodjewelry, and can be followed on twitter, lillypodjewelry on twitter.
Featuring MariaLuna, Jewelry and Art Photography
Up next are some beautiful selections from MariaLuna's shop, jewelry and photography.
I love crochet, so of course these caught my attention right away!
This first pair of adorable earrings are crocheted from Italian velvet, with small freshwater pearls. The crochet beads measure about 15mm in diameter, and dangle from handcrafted ear hooks.
Next I chose to show you this elegant set. Although they are sold separately, they would be great to buy together for a matching set! Made with glass lime colored beads, sterling silver, and freshwater pearls, these next two jewelries have an elegant modern flair to them.
These shell and lime earrings are really quite gorgeous! I love the style of the ear hooks, they are very unique and stylish.
And of course this necklace would match the above earrings very well! I love the "toggle in front" style. It would be easy to put on, and adds a unique touch.
And last but not least, this beautiful photograph of orchids! Beautifully composed with a nice depth of field, this print will measure 8X8, and you can choose to have this printed in black and white (shown) or color. It will be shipped professionally covered in acid free paper and placed between pieces of cardboard to prevent bending.
I think MariaLuna has some very nice selections in her shop, so be sure to stop by and check out the rest of her stuff!
Featuring Youniquely Chic
Dress up with unique jewelry and look totally chick! Looking through Youniquly Chic's Etsy shop, I can't decide what pieces of jewelry to feature! A stay at home mom, Youniquely Chic creates gorgeous jewelry designs.
I met Youniquely chic on a BNS forum thread, and what a fun and chick person she is!
To be sure I love these earrings! They are so stunning, and I love how they will look different colors as the light reflects off of them in different ways.
I also love this earring and necklace set, with sparkling blue swarovski crystal hearts, and silver chain. This set is truly elegant, and will bring a sparkle to your everyday wear, and I think it would be great for bridesmaids too!
Did you know Youniquely Chic ships free to the US, and only $1.50 internationally? Holy cow!
One more...because I love chandelier earrings, and these are soooo gorgeous! Crescent shaped connectors attached to chain, with blue swarovski crystals, these earrings are just the thing to wear to town! I've seen and worn lots of chandeliers, but these are among the most amazing!
Many more sparkling and chick creations can be found at Youniquely Chic's shop, so be sure to stop by and take a look.
Featuring Tv Tray Art
So...why does she call herself Tv Tray Art anyway? Reading through her profile, she says this:
"TV Tray Art Designs was named for a period during my early crafting ventures where, lacking adequate space, I created cards on a folding TV tray. As my designs have evolved, so has my space!"
I can identify with that! I used to make jewelry on a tv tray too!
******************************************************
I love photo pendants. You can put a special picture in it, and wear that photo every where you go! Tv Tray Art makes such pendants. All you have to do is purchase a photo pendant, email her with the picture you want her to use, (you can even have a picture on both sides at no extra charge if you want) and allow a few days for it to be made. Pretty neat huh? Here's a picture of one of those pendants.
Oh, and look here! You can get 3 pendants to give as gifts to your girlfriends! When you buy these 3 Girlfriend's Gifts pendants, at just $24, you are saving a lot of money. They are normally $10 apiece!
There's lots more where these came from, and many different designs and styles. Don't hesitate to visit her etsy shop! Tv Tray Art Designs
Featuring TreasureBoxJewelry
Looking through Treasure Box Jewelry's store, I can't believe all the gorgeous stuff I'm finding there! I've fallen in love with several of the pieces, including this beautiful piece, a Lavender Bliss Vintage Locket Necklace. Perfect for spring, this necklace features an antiqued brass filigree disc and a vintage style lavender-colored rose cabochon.
Also I found this Fairy Dust Necklace. I think it's quite charming! The pendant sparkles wonderfully in the light!
Certainly these Dewdrop Dangle Earrings are adorable! I think dangle earrings are my favorite kind of earrings ever...and these look like they would have a really nice sparkle to them. They have a nature inspired appearance to them, and I love nature inspired things!
Definitely take a peek at the shop. You will love it! I know you will!
